Although the hits keep on comin', some of you have probably noticed a general dip in the frequency of posts here (and hell, the quality too, who are we kidding?) this past week. Sorry, but it's been a busy week for me here on the Day Job. In addition to my usual grizzly with piling on the billable hours, I got "promoted back" to manager, which is a just really nice way of saying I just regained a boatload of responsibility for no additional pay. I guess it's technically progress, but hey, it is what it is.

Needless to say, since I'm pretty wasted right about now, I'm gonna end the week by taking a shortcut giving you guys some cool stuff to checkout.

How Bout' Some Real Hip Hop?


The only thing I like more than real hip hip music is free stuff. Since it's your lucky Friday, you can cop a lil' of both by downloading The Good Clothes Mixtape by Little Brother. No, it's not "positive" or "conscious" hip hop, it's just plain good music by two guys from NC who talk about stuff (college, paying bills, pursuing your dreams while paying said bills, raising your kids, etc.) I can personally relate to as opposed to more teenaged odes to ejaculation. The Best Darn Sports Blog. Period.

No disrespect to local hoops hero Gilbert Arenas, whose NBA.com blog started the whole "blogging athletes" phenomenon, but the best sports related web log by far belongs to another Wizard. D-League baller Rod Benson's blog, TooMuchRodBenson is probably the best thing smokin' if you want a behind the scenes look at a dude trying (and so far failing) to make it to the NBA. It's humorous, sad (he just got cut from the New Jersey Nets), and insightful. Plus, you get cool videos like "Boom Got Them Dos", and Weird MySpace Messages. Even if you're not a sports fan, you'll probably enjoy this site just because it's funny as hell.
