"You know the damage one ignorant Negro can do? We were in France in the first war; we'd won decorations. But the white boys had told all them French gals that we had tails. Then they found this ignorant colored soldier, paid him to tie a tail to his ass and run around half-naked, making monkey sounds. Put him on the big round table in the Cafe Napoleon, put a reed in his hand, crown on his head, blanket on his shoulders, and made him eat *bananas* in front of all them Frenchies. Oh, how the white boys danced that night... passed out leaflets with that boy's picture on it. Called him Moonshine, King of the Monkeys. And when we slit his throat, you know that fool asked us what he had done wrong?"[1]
A couple of weeks ago, I rolled out a very controversial post called The Top 13 Debits To The Black Race. Some of ya'll jumped all up in me for including such questionable folks as Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Stephanie Tubbs Jones, and Amy Holmes.
In retrospect, I probably goofed on a few of the entries, but there was one notable absence. Actually, BET founder, Charlotte Bobcats owner, and general nuisance Bob Johnson was listed as a DisHonorable Mention: Third ballot Hall of Shamer.[2]
After this latest case of Extreme Hateration, I probably need to start working on that Greatest Debits Of All Time post.
The billionaire founder of Black Entertainment Television says Barack Obama would not be a leading presidential candidate if he were white and that the Illinois senator's campaign has "a hair-trigger on anything racial."I'm sure you guys don't have any respect for Bob Johnson, and I'm also pretty sure he is acutely aware of this and doesn't give a crap. Thus, he'll say any and everything to help his
The Charlotte Observer reported on its Web site Monday that Bob Johnson, one of Hillary Rodham Clinton's top black supporters, was commenting on remarks previously made by Geraldine Ferraro, another Clinton supporter.
Johnson is a longtime friend of both Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton.
"What I believe Geraldine Ferraro meant is that if you take a freshman senator from Illinois called 'Jerry Smith' and he says I'm going to run for president, would he start off with 90 percent of the black vote?" Johnson said. "And the answer is, probably not."
"Geraldine Ferraro said it right," Johnson added. "The problem is, Geraldine Ferraro is white. This campaign has such a hair-trigger on anything racial it is almost impossible for anybody to say anything."
And that's the worst kind of Negro, one who doesn't care about anyone, and I do mean anyone, but himself.
Yep, I need to get started on that Greatest of All Time post.
Question: Is this some sorta Grand Hu$tle? What is Bob Johnson getting out of this whole thing? Does he have an ulterior motive, or does he simply lack any semblance of dignity and self-respect?
