This prolly seems like overkill after Sunday's WOAI post, but hell, I ran the poll on him this week, so lets talk about Nate Dogg.
Few artists have the catalog of guest appearances that Nate Dogg does. From his introduction on 90's West Coast classic The Chronic, Nate had a solid decade+ run working with artists from Ludacris to Mos Def. By 2004, his signature style had graced the hooks of an astounding 60 charted singles, although he never really broke out as a solo artist. Sadly, Nate Dogg has suffered numerous strokes and heart attacks in recent years, and any future career seems unlikely.
On a brighter note, here's a trio of some of my favorites.
Warren G. ft. Nate Dogg - "Regulate"
Ludacris ft. Nate Dogg - "Area Codes"
Nate Dogg ft. Snoop Dogg - "Never Leave Me Alone"
Question: Why didn't Nate Dogg ever make it as a solo artist? What's your favorite Nate Dogg song?
