It's lookin' like another one of those weeks. I appreciate everyone who follows this blog that's hung in here lately, even though the usual standard of freshness hasn't exactly been in effect. Sooner or later I'll be done with this project that's been killing me on the Day Job, and back to my typical grizzly. Till then...
Why The NBA Roolz, And Every Other Sport Sucks - Seriously, how can you beat the drama of a 7 game series with a million subplots, villains, heroes, historic performances, and Hollywood glitz. If your sporting interest isn't piqued by Lakers/Celtics, then might I suggest you find a less strenuous hobby like stamp collecting.
Poor Helen Thomas - Look, I'm the last guy to defend anyone making anti-Semetic remarks. But cut this poor lady some slack. She is nearly 100 years old, and old folks are liable to say some ignant sh*t every now and then. Does this make her racist? I dunno, but I think it's a bit sad how someone's entire life/career can be so quickly ethered and overshadowed by one callous statement.
Unemployment Falls, And It's A Bad Thing - Give it to the GOP, these guys are clearly determined to stick to their "party of no" ethos, no matter what. Last month they complained that positive job growth lead to the unemployment rate rising. This month they're complaining about positive job growth leading the unemployment rate to fall. If there are more $250k/yr jobs out there that only require you to disagree all the time, please let me know. I'd like one. I'm pretty good as saying "no" myself.
Congrats To Rush Limbaugh - If at first you don't succeed, try again. And again. And again. Maybe the 4th time's the charm, but here's to an ironclad prenup just-in-case.
Question: What's on your mind right now?
