For anyone who frowns upon the NBA, and longs for the days when players (allegedly) played team ball, and the Lakers, Celtics, and Knicks all reigned supreme come April, your excuses are officially dead. This weekend's 1st round games have been among the most entertaining I've ever watched. From my man Psycho-T dropping midrange J's on the Bulls, to Melo's disappearing act vs Boston, the typical playoff drama is on full display. It's good stuff, and would only be better if my favorite team was somehow involved, but well, there's always the lottery.
If I were a betting man, I'd go to USA legal poker and drop some money on The Spurs. Yeah, I know, they're banged up, and they lost Game One to Memphis, and all that. But they're still a seasoned playoff team. They can turn it on when they need to. Not that the Celtics and Lakers can't also, but I just think San Antonio will be hoisting that trophy once all's said and done.
Then again, that's just my read, what's yours?
