I don't even think I realized The Price Is Right still comes on until today, when I happened to tune in. Even though Bob's gone, the show is still just as campy as it's ever been, and even the games/contests are the same. Drew Carey lacks Bob's signature wit, but it doesn't seem to matter to the contestants, who are kooky and overcaffienated as always. I bet Sarah Palin's "Pro-America" supporters really love this show.
One thing that's pissed me off since I was a toddler sitting in front of my Grandma's floor model Sylvania was the tendency of some folks to bid $1. Even more maddening is when someone bids $1 over the highest bid, ie: $501 if the last person bid $500.
This shows not only a total and complete lack of creativity and imagination, but it's intellectually lazy, and perhaps worst of all, a sign of total and complete douchebaggery.
At least this chick didn't win, but 90% of the time, they do. And that just ain't right. Somebody needs to start a petition to make bids in increments of $25. Then I might add this show to my Tivo Season Pass, because it's just one more example why being momentarily unemployed rocks!
Uh, just make sure you bid $1 over the last guy, not under. Duh.
Question: Do you hate the $1 bids too, or is it just me?
