Kwame's Goin' To Jail.

With all the attention shifted to another notable Black politician, AB.com's Favorite Bastion Of Negro Ineptitude, Detroit Mayor Clay Davis Kwame Kilpatrick, has been awful quiet in recent weeks. Heck, I've heard more lately about Councilwoman Monica Conyers, who is a piece of work herself.

Sure, there were murmurs that his mother would end up losing her seat in Congress because of "Yaw's Boy", but Rep. Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick won her re-election the other night by the skin of her teeth. So, rejoice citizens of Michigan! "Yaw's Boy's" mama will live another two years to provide us with such fodder as this.

Please watch this entire clip, or you'll miss it, beginning around the 40 second mark.

Man, that idd'ish was classic. Classic I tell ya'.

And not to be outdone her opponent, Mary Waters, capitalized on this, but couldn't close the deal. So, ya'll stay losin' Detroit.

Now you're stuck with two Kilpatricks. Uhhh, make that one.

Judge Ronald Giles just sent Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick to jail moments after the mayor pleaded for forgiveness and admitted he made an unauthorized trip to Windsor on city business.

As of noon Kilpatrick was still at 36th District Court being processed for transfer to Wayne County Jail. Giles revoked Kilpatrick's $75,000 10% bond and ordered him jailed.

Kilpatrick admitted violating the terms of his bond by traveling to Windsor without notifying the court. He said he was sorry.

Kilpatrick further said he was not "frolicking" in Windsor but trying to make a deal that would let him avoid laying off more than a thousand city workers.
It almost makes you feel sorry for this blubbering, Chris Webber look-alike.

Almost sorry. Key word: almost.

Because if you peep the guy's astounding prior track record, it's hard to summon any sympathy for him.

Seriously Detroit, how screwed up is it when your elected officials act out with such levels of Negro Nonsense and end up in the clink or worse? Better yet, can you explain to me how this merry band of fools keeps getting re-elected?

A recent NY Times Magazine article opined that with the Obama presidency looming, the end of "Black Politics" may be nearing. I'm not really sure if I agree with that, but I surely hope that such incidents as these in Detroit cause people to reconsider the tried and true notion of voting for someone because they've got "a name". That sort of lazy democracy is just a dangerous as voting for a person "just because they black" (or aren't black for that matter).

Detroit, I hate saying this, but ya'll get what you paid (voted) for.

And you paid for Yaw's Boy. I hope you're happy.

Question: Is Kwame Kilpatrick a first ballot inductee in the Marion Barry Negro Politicians Hall Of Shame? How does he keep getting re-elected? Hoes does Barry keep getting re-elected? Do you agree that voting for a "name" is just as bad as voting for any other largely superficial issue?
