O'Reilly vs Obama: Round One

You prolly missed it, but Barack Obama for some odd reason decided to negotiate with terrorists appear on Fox News' The O'Reilly Factor last night. I'm not sure exactly what he hoped to accomplish (upstage McCain? shut up Fox News? appeal to the GOP?) by doing this, but the net result is a total and complete cluster. In the words of a certain member of AverageNation™, it was an Epic Fail!



Seriously Barry, what the ham sammich were you thinking? You know who Bill-O is. He's a bloviator. He's a windbag. He talks over people. He even called for your wife to be lynched! Lynched for cryin' out loud.



You gain absolutely nothing from doing this. This had to be the worst career decision since Electric Circus.

And it turned out even worse than I expected, not because of Barry, who comported himself well and answered all the questions, but because of O'Reilly. If this was supposed to be an "interview", it sure was one-sided. It looked more like Bill-O ambushing and immaturely dismissing any valid point Obama said that he didn't agree with, which was pretty much all of them.

Did Bill really accuse someone else of "bloviating"?!? Pot, meet kettle.

Wigga please.

Still, Obama knew all of this coming in. He knew Bill would talk over him and not allow him to get a word in edgewise. He knew Bill would be completely disrespectful of someone who might be the next President. He knew he would gain nothing from this exchange.

So why did you allow yourself to be exploited by a douchebag like this, Barry?
